A symphony in three movements set on a Mediterranean luxury cruise ship—a prime symbol of Western capitalism—Film Socialisme is Jean-Luc Godard’s essay on the decline of European civilization. For the internet, Godard created six different trailers to protest film advertising and distribution conditions.
