The Quechua language is the largest indigenous language group in the Americas. Suppressed and maligned for hundreds of years, it is now is enjoying a revival. The Fading Inca Language captures the film director’s journey with her daughter to the town of Huallanca, a remote village high in the Peruvian Andes. There they discover Quechua, their maternal language, and find resilience in this indigenous community.
